GROW is currently looking for skilled Truck Mechanic to join one of our clients in a professional and well organized workshop in the Netherlands.
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least a graduate of a 3-year vocational course, diploma, or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Technology, Automotive, or any related field
- Strong knowledge of engine and drivetrain systems
- Ability to analyze technical malfunctions and work with diagnostic tools
- Technical insight and a hands-on mentality
- Good command of the English language
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performing preventive engine maintenance, including:
o Oil changes
o Filter replacements
o General engine servicing
- Inspecting and/or repairing trucks for their annual VLG inspection according to RDW regulations
- Completing weekly inspections approximately four trucks are checked as part of semiannual or annual maintenance
- Assessing vehicle wear and performing appropriate repairs (duration varies per truck)
- Driving trucks to the inspection location after repairs (mechanics with CE license may perform this themselves)
- Conducting emergency repairs when needed, such as:
o Flat tires
o Damaged mirrors
o Larger mechanical repairs
- Diagnosing engine and drivetrain issues using diagnostic systems
- Working according to a maintenance schedule while remaining flexible for adhoc tasks
- Collaborating with a workshop team of about 10 colleagues, including:
o Warehouse employee
o Working foreman
o Trailer mechanic
o Truck technicians
o Paint shop staff
o Workshop manager
REMUNERATION PACKAGE
- Monthly gross salary: €2,600 – €3,000 (depending on experience)
