GROW is currently looking for Trailer Mechanic (specialized in refrigerated systems) to join one of our clients in a modern and advanced workshop supporting a large fleet of refrigerated trailers in the Netherlands.
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least a graduate of a 3-year vocational course, diploma, or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Technology, Automotive, or any related field
- Experience as a trailer mechanic or refrigerated trailer technician
- Strong knowledge of cooling systems, refrigeration engines, electronics, and diagnostics
- Ability to repair both mechanical and electrical faults
- Experience with diagnostics tools and software (preferred)
- Good command of English
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Refrigeration Systems & Cooling Units
- Performing maintenance and repairs on refrigerated trailers and cooling installations
- Working on refrigeration engines (Carrier units and similar brands)
- Conducting FRC and CFC inspections for cooling systems
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to cooling performance, temperature control, and electronics
- Performing diagnostics using advanced software and readout equipment
Trailer Maintenance
- Maintaining and repairing chassis, axles, brakes, suspension, and lighting
- Overhauling or repairing technical appendages and fittings
- Conducting repairs that result from inspection findings
- Ensuring trailers transporting temperature sensitive or hazardous products meet all safety requirements
Additional Technical Work
- Refurbishing or assisting with printed circuit board repairs (where required)
- Performing modifications or custom adjustments based on customer needs
- Supporting tire service, brake testing, and reefer related adjustments
Workshop Operations
- Working within a skilled workshop team of mechanics, foremen, and support staff
- Handling occasional breakdown-related repairs
- Ensuring cleanliness, safety, and compliance with technical standards at all times
REMUNERATION PACKAGE
- Monthly gross salary: €2,600 – €3,500 (depending on experience)
