GROW is currently looking for a System & Network Administrator (LINUX Engineer) to be placed for one of our clients in the technology solutions for deployment to the Cayman Islands.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or similar
- At least 3 years of solid Linux administration experience
- Strong Windows administration experience
- Practical knowledge of server hardware installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
- VMware administration and virtualization, Web hosting server and open source mail server experience
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- System and Network Management: Configure and install servers and various network devices.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve servers and network issues, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.
- Security: Develop and enforce security protocols and policies to protect servers and networks from threats, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and VPNs.
- Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor network and system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to optimize speed and reliability.
- 24/7 Technical Support: Provide round-the-clock technical support for system and network related issues during a shared coverage schedule with colleagues.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, policies, and procedures.
- User Support: Assist users with network and server related issues.
- Collaboration: Work with other IT team members on projects and initiatives to improve overall IT infrastructure.
REMUNERATION PACKAGE
- Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
- $85,500.00 Annual Salary (Based on Average Salary of Linux Engineers in Cayman Islands)
