GROW is currently looking for a Yard Superintendent to be placed for one of our clients in the Building & Civil Engineering industry for deployment to Nigeria.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma or degree in a relevant field (naval architecture, marine engineering, etc.)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in shipbuilding, repair, or a related industry
- Relevant certifications (Shipbuilder’s Certificate, Marine Engineer’s License, etc.)
- Technical knowledge and understanding of the fabrication processes, material and equipment
- Proven leadership and management skills.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure smooth yard operations including new build, maintenance and logistics.
- Assist in project planning and scheduling
- Allocates resources (equipment, personnel, material) efficiently.
- Ensure quality control and safety standards
- Implement and enforce safety protocols
- Troubleshoot issues that arises during construction and implement solutions.
- Assist in managing project budgets and controlling costs.
- Coordinates with various stakeholders including project managers, plant and supervisors
- Maintain accurate records and reporting of yard operations, including production reports, safety incidents, and equipment maintenance.
